Marie Stevenson, Dan Kupferman, Rolf Brandt, Mohamad Fahd, Gail Wilson, Kim <br />Landry, Ayesha Shafi, Richard Klein, Hope Hanscom, Michael Moulis, Aimen Iqbal <br /> <br />Also Present: Lauren Surbey – Mashpee Enterprise, Mohamad Zefzaf- Prospective Member, <br />Don Myers - School Committee Chair <br /> <br />Absent: Winnie Johnson-Graham <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Chair Stevenson called the meeting of the Mashpee Inclusion and Diversity Committee to <br />order at 5:00P.M. <br /> <br />LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT <br />Today we acknowledge this meeting is being held on ancestral lands of the Wampanoag Tribe, <br />also known as People of the First Light. We pay respects to their elders, past and present. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES - October 15, 2024 <br />Dan Kupferman asked to remove the line about the trajectory of the column. <br />Gail Wilson rephrased the wording on page 3 about the School Committee and former <br />representation. <br />MOTION: <br />Dan Kupferman made a motion to approve the meeting minutes of October 15, <br />2024 as amended. Gail Wilson Seconded. All in favor. Hope Hanscom abstained. <br /> <br />MEMBER UPDATES <br />Coalition <br />The Chair mentioned the recent attacks on DEI initiatives. Hate is finding a way to thrive, it’s <br />important we combat this. There is a Survey Monkey Ms. Stevenson will be sending to all DEI <br />members and will be asking what more we can do to get feedback.
