<br /> <br />Minutes of Combined Meeting of <br />Mashpee Design Review Committee and <br />Mashpee Plan Review Committee <br />Held Tuesday, November 20, 2012 <br />Mashpee Town Hall Meeting Room 1 <br /> <br /> <br />Design Review Members Present: Walter Yarosh, and Jonathan Furbush <br /> <br /> <br />Plan Review Members Present: <br /> Charlie Maintanis, Local Inspector <br />Tom Fudala, Town Planner <br /> Joel Clifford, Fire Inspector <br />Ronnie Warden, Assistant Health Agent <br />Catherine Laurent, DPW Director <br />Scott Carline, Police Department <br />Joyce Mason, Town Manager <br /> <br />Charlie Maintanis called the meeting to order at 9:16 a.m. <br /> <br />401 Nathan Ellis Highway <br />Dino Mitrokostas <br />Request to expand patio <br /> <br />Dino Mitrokostas appeared and said he plans to upgrade the outside patio, which is licensed for food, <br />liquor and entertainment. Dino said this is an informal discussion. He said it currently takes 3 hours <br />set-up and break-down time every day so he is proposing a storage-type building to enable them to <br />leave items at the bar overnight. He said to stay competitive he needs to do this building with a fixed <br />roof over the bar. Planning Board’s Plan have updated seating—Dino provided a copy of this <br />updated seating plan. Discussion points included the following: <br /> <br /> Dino asking for increase of 24 capacity. <br /> Looking at retractable roof/awning system. New product in U.S., comes from Italy. <br /> Dino said it comes up to code for fire, etc. <br /> Free-standing and they have rain gutters built into it. He said free-standing frames to awnings <br />and is support system to awning. Roof can hold 3 to 4 feet of snow. <br /> Dino said all one level. <br /> Dino spoke with Board of Health to be sure everything up to code. <br /> Walter Yarosh asked about lighting. Dino responded that until they get the structure up then <br />they’ll see how to light it. <br /> Walter questioned noise level. Dino said building will help shield any noise going towards the <br />back parking lot. <br /> Joyce Mason noted that there is time-constraint on outside usage for any outdoor activity and <br />music. <br /> Ronnie Warden advised that the Board of Health needs floor plan showing 24 seats at back <br />closed off when outside area open. Ronnie also said there is to be no smoking when siding <br />closed. Dino stated that sides pretty much open all the time. <br /> Ronnie said they should put May-September seasonal use on the Plan. Dino said that’s <br />already part of the license granted. <br /> Ronnie stated the back room seating is restricted and that has to be on the Plan. <br /> <br />
