Minutes of Combined Meeting of Mashpee Design Review Committee and Mashpee Plan Review Committee Held Tuesday, December 4, 2012 Mashpee Town Hall Meeting Room 3 Design Review Members Present: Walter Yarosh, Mary LeBlanc and Jonathan Furbush Plan Review Members Present: Charlie Maintanis, Local Inspector Tom Fudala, Town Planner Joel Clifford, Fire Inspector Glen Harrington, Health Agent Catherine Laurent, DPW Director Scott Carline, Police Department Joyce Mason, Town Manager Charlie Maintanis called the meeting to order at 9:07 a.m. 401 Nathan Ellis Highway Dino Mitrokostas Return with additional information Site Plan and exterior elevations_ Steve Daley appeared and said Dino was not able to be present so he came for this meeting. Steve Daley referred to the 11/6/12-1b set of Plans submitted as the new version of Plans. Walter Yarosh stated that what was requested at the previous meeting were plans showing existing elevations of current building with front elevation of the street side; and that is not on these plans. Also, picture presented here is not accurate with what is there now. Steve Daley said this picture is just a rendering.  Walter said concept plans are great but in order to get building permits you have to submit required Plans.  Charlie Maintanis explained there may be some building code issues. This is not a true rendering of what is going to be there.  Charlie said if building goes over property line then not sure Building Department can issue a permit. Tom Fudala said 2 properties are under Special Permit.  Charlie noted that once you start putting in foundations, permanent structures, etc., now looking at structure issues.  Steve Daley said as he understands it from Dino the railing shown on this revised plan is accurate and mounting of the structure is suppose to stay on decking and decking not suppose to expand. The unit is modular in nature; not trying to expand deck; go by 11/6/12-1b Plan.  Mary LeBlanc noted that we are missing an accurate site plan. Walter added that we don’t have front elevation or existing and proposed site plans.  Originally outdoor patio was permitted but if structure built that requires foundation, then looking at a lot of other code issues.  Steve Daley commented that currently a 2-3 foot flower box that has earth and stone is there now. He said it is his understanding that they weren’t pouring footing but going into that flower box.
