Sid cited an article in the local newspaper that reported that Grey Taylor, Mashpee Member of Barnstable Assembly of Delegates , offered an amendment of the discretionary referral process to the Assembly of Delegates, but they did not support it. Sid suggested inviting Greg to a meeting to explain how his amendment might affect economic development. The Committee did not feel that they wanted to pursue this matter. The Economic Development Coordinator' s Report was distributed and reviewed by Wayne ( see attached) . Additional comments are as follows: Wayne is hopeful of meeting the data entry deadline of February lst. Sid asked Wayne to find out the cost of reprints of articles from the Cape Cod Times. Wayne is arranging for a business section follow up article with Reporter Mills of the Cape Cod Times . Wayne reported that he and Jim Vaccaro were on a WQRC talk show, and he received a lot of positive feedback from it. Wayne received a request from Frank Gibson, Super Host group, to speak at EDC' s next meeting. It was agreed that this pertains to tourism and is a Chamber of Commerce topic; EDC declined his offer but asked Wayne to offer Mr. Gibson any help. Wayne started a press release re: the survey, and Paul asked that it be released closer to the date of the survey going out (approximately six weeks ) . It was also suggested to wait until the survey results are returned and do the release then. Sid felt that this was not PR material, and he suggested doing a release on the Nursing Home at the proper time. Ted supported keeping the visibility out there.
