Sid noted that the Cole Directory has been leased, and Wayne
will do some PR letting the public know it is available. This
was leased for $200 annually and initiated to help Wayne update
the database.
Sid announced he is stepping down as Chairperson of EDC, and
he turned the meeting over to the Vice Chair Paul Reynolds.
Wayne commenced his Coordinator ' s Report stating he sent Bob
Whritenour a Memo suggesting a letter be sent to the Partnership
requesting their intentions to remain as active members for
the purpose of adding new or more active members. The result
that Wayne and Bob determined is that a letter will be sent
to the entire membership encouraging their presence, and the
meetings will be held the same night as EDC meetings. The Local
Partnership includes representatives from the following: Tribal
Council , Historical Commission, Conservation, EDC, Planning
Board, Tom Fudala, Bob Whritenour, and Wayne Duchemin. Wayne
will craft a letter to be mailed to each representative. This
will satisfy the federal requirements that Partnership meetings
be held. Tom Fudala was present during this discussion to answer
any questions, and Tom Fudala was supportive to EDC in their
belief that future meetings with Mt. Auburn should be held with
the Partnership instead of the Planning Board.
Wayne distributed a copy of his May work log. A concern was
raised about the timely record keeping log; the log will be
discussed at the next meeting.
Wayne noted that the undeveloped property portion of the
database has. been updated and completed (with the help of Sid)
and incorporated into the database. Steve will complete Madaket
and give to Wayne next week. Wayne thanked Sid for all his
help this past year. The EDC members also thanked Sid for all
his efforts.
Paul reported that he received 36 Surveys back which is a 14%
response, and that follow up calls should be done after July
4th. Sharon asked if the response will be representative of
the types of industry in Mashpee, and Paul stated. he could do
that.
Steve talked to Ken Cirillo of C-Map who is looking for help
in finding employees and has formed a "think tank" group
comprised of local computer types . Steve suggested having a
member from our Committee join this group. Sharon was
recommended for this , and Paul suggested it could be a Bulletin
Board item. Tom Potts suggested putting an ad in the local
paper asking people who are looking for employment to complete
and mail back to us to put in our database; he also suggested
getting releases from employees to sign off to have their resumes
forwarded. Wayne suggested tear sheets in the supermarket be
-2-
