ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE MINUTES <br /> JULY 25, 1995 <br /> Members Present: Tom Potts, Sharon Koblinsky, Paul Reynolds, <br /> Steve Innis . Ted Lewis absent. <br /> Also present: Wayne Duchemin, E.D. Coordinator <br /> The meeting was called to order at 7: 10 p.m. <br /> The Minutes of July 11 , 1995 were accepted with the following <br /> corrections: <br /> * p. 2 , Fantus is based out of Chicago, and they came and worked <br /> on the Cape. <br /> * p. 2 , Mt. Auburn' s goal is not to -create jobs but rather to <br /> help provide Mashpee with a direction to access jobs. <br /> Sharon asked if the Committee agreed on an objection with the <br /> consulting group. It was to identify specific industries to <br /> attract to Mashpee, and Wayne would be the contact person. <br /> Mt. Auburn would provide the "road map" and come back with an <br /> action plan of steps to be used by EDC with the hopes that the <br /> Town Planner could also use. <br /> Correspondence was reviewed as follows : <br /> Richard Halpern telephoned and expressed interest in having <br /> his business advertised; he may attend the meeting. <br /> 19 Greg Taylor telephoned he cannot attend the meeting, but he <br /> is sending related material re: signage. <br /> 19 The Chief of Police was invited to attend; the mood is to <br /> minimize signage. The invitation will be extended to the <br /> next meeting. <br /> A letter from the CCC traffic technician re: road traffic <br /> counts. <br /> A letter from the Chief of Police to the Beautification <br /> Committee re: signs to be removed or changed. <br /> A Public Hearing announcement re: a request for a special <br /> permit for a Professional Office Building corner Gt. Neck <br /> Rd. , No. <br /> 9 A letter from the Massachusetts Executive Office re: following <br /> the law pertaining to the Partnership <br />
