Steve noted that the EDC Coordinator' s contract <br /> was originally $5,000; Tom suggested a 6--month review be done <br /> for the EDC Coordinator (Wayne Duchemin) and EDC Chairperson <br /> (Tom Potts) . Tom asked Mary Gelsthorpe (Board Secretary) to <br /> send Wayne a Memo stating that EDC would like sent to them an <br /> update on the Employment Pool, i.e. numbers placed from pool, <br /> businesses contacted, interviews granted, recommendations on <br /> what to do next with regard to the Pool. <br /> The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 1996. <br /> Sharon will make available the information from Rick York re: <br /> the cost of aquaculture. Tom expressed interest in. following <br /> up from the entrepreneur meeting held with Mt. Auburn. He <br /> suggested a mentorship program with entreprenuers in Mashpee, <br /> possibly 6 business people who are willing to donate 12 evenings <br /> per year. There should be a written plan for this. This could <br /> help businesses in Town, and Wayne could promote it. There <br /> are two segments to this idea: (1 ) mentorship program for home- <br /> based businesses and (2) monthly educational forums with speakers <br /> from various business sectors.
