He would like to send business owners postcards as <br /> well asking them if the program was helpful , would they like <br /> to continue, need more information, etc. Pat Pry from the <br /> Chamber asked for an updated list of Businesses . EDC' s list <br /> is two years old. There are 40 new businesses in Mashpee this <br /> year that need to be added. Wayne noted that he was promised <br /> volunteers from the Senior Center who would help with data entry <br /> duties. Paul suggested contacting Gloria Dube (who works in <br /> Leisure Services) to help find volunteers , noting that they <br /> cannot be limited to senior citizens only . <br /> Wayne stated that a draft copy of the EOA application for East <br /> Mashpee (which includes Augat) has been sent to Boston and will <br /> be returned. <br /> Wayne would like to send out the Guide fbr Business to a list _ <br /> of CEO' s and business owners in New Seabury (approx. 50 ) . Paul <br /> recommended sending them out along with a -personalized letter <br /> signed by Wayne. Wayne is waiting for a list from Willowbend. <br /> SUB COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Marketing Committee: Sharon reported she attended the Cape <br /> Tech Council breakfast meeting. EDC approved the expense of <br /> $144 per year for Sharon or another EDC representative to attend <br /> this breakfast meeting once a month. The goal of this group <br /> is to promote technology on the Cape, and the meeting format <br /> is usually a speaker followed by networking. Paul suggested <br /> having the Industrial Park talk about the incubator space. <br /> Bruce McGregor could speak during the "new member spotlite" <br /> segment about sharing the facility, fax, copier, conference <br /> room, and secretarial service and ask the group for their, input. <br /> Sharon noted that she has not heard anything from the New England <br /> Real Estate Journal , . and Steve Kyros has been preoccupied. j <br /> Tom Potts suggested asking them for a sample copy. It was noted <br /> that we need to ask the Town for funds for marketing and <br /> advertising. Tom suggested running a radio ad around the <br /> holidays for Mashpee Commons and coordinate this with the <br /> Chamber. <br /> Mentor Program: Steve Innis has found information and resources <br /> on the net. Sharon suggested a less formal setting for these <br /> meetings , such as a breakfast meeting where networking can occur. <br /> The target date is mid January.
