ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE MINUTES <br /> MARCH 25, 1997 <br /> Paul Reynolds , Chairman, called the meeting to order at <br /> 7 : 08 p.tn. in Conference Room 3 at Mashpee Town Hall . <br /> Members present: Gloria Dube , Ted Lewis, Paul Reynolds <br /> Alternates 'present: Cynthia Green <br /> Steve Innis (arrived 8: 00 p.m. ) <br /> Also 'present: Wayne Ducheiain, EDC Coordinator <br /> MINUTES <br /> The Minutes of January 14 , 1997 were moved by Gloria D. , seconded <br /> by Cynthia G. Unaniwous. Paul R. abstained. <br /> CORRESPONDENCE <br /> There was correspondence from Sharon Koblinsky who completed <br /> the ad for submission to the New England Journal . <br /> The Chamber of Commerce sent a letter asking EDC for financial <br /> assistance for the kiosk bulletin boards to be placed at various <br /> locations in Mashpee ( i .e. Town Hall , John' s Pond, New Seabury , <br /> Wildlife Refuge ) . They will post maps of Mashpee, along with <br /> a list of Town beaches , trails , churches , and current events. <br /> The cost is $855 each for installation. EDC will consider their <br /> request. <br /> EDC COORDINATOR'S REPORT <br /> Wayne D. stated he assumed the invoicing responsibilities for <br /> Economic Development from the Selectmen' s Office. He discussed <br /> making the ED office self-sufficient with a printer, answering i <br /> machine, etc. , and Bob W. agrees with his approach. Wayne has <br /> asked Jim Long to recom«Zend a senior citizen volunteer to handle <br /> soi�Le of the clerical work. Someone suggested creating a coop <br /> student position in the ED Coordinator ' s office. <br /> Gloria D. is keeping a journal with articles collected from <br /> newspapers relating to EDC. <br />
