Discussion with Mashpee Business Owners
1. David Nailor, business owner of The Comfort Man with offices located at 67
Industrial Drive, property#88 28 on the Zoning District map, introduced himself to the
Committee. Rene Read welcomed him to the meeting and stated that the Committee
had mailed out letters to the business owners located in the Industrial Park, inviting
them to the meeting today in order to hear from them their questions, concerns, and any
suggestions as to ways in which the Town of Mashpee could help them improve and/or
expand their business operations. Rene Read further explained that the Committee is
interested in determining whether there are any impediments to operating and
expanding in the Industrial Park, and if so, whether the Town can do anything to
improve that situation.
David Nailor stated that he had been at his present location for about six years, that he
is pleased with the conditions of the park and in general has no complaints about it.
He stated that the new Industrial Drive entrance connecting to Great Neck Road South
would be great for his company because the bulk of his business was in New Seabury.
Mr. Nailor inquired as to a possible need for a storage facility or distribution center in the
Industrial Park. He also complained briefly about the regulatory hurdles created by the
Cape Cod Commission.
2. He hoped that any future buildings that
move into the Park would look presentable, and he is trying to make his building look the
same. Mr. Rogers owns half a dozen lots in the Industrial Paris, which he has not
developed.
Joe Noonan stated that he was disappointed in the poor response to the letter sent to
