<br />MASHPEE ENVIRONMENTAL OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE <br />MEETING MINUTES <br />JANUARY 11, 2017 - 6:30 P.M. <br />MASHPEE TOWN HALL <br /> <br /> <br />Present: Michael Talbot, Dale McKay, Andrew Gottlieb, Rick York, Joseph Cummings, <br />Katelyn Cadoret (via phone) <br /> <br />Absent: Andrew McManus <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairman Michael Talbot called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES: <br />December 14, 2016 minutes <br />Rick York suggested a correction in the minutes. <br />Motion: Mr. McKay moved to approve the December 14, 2016 minutes as revised, <br />seconded by Mr. York. Vote unanimous 6-0 <br />REPORTS <br /> <br />Katelyn Cadoret gave an update on the Conservation Department (via telephone) <br /> <br />Conservation Department Report: <br />Land Stewards Program: Update <br />Ms. Cadoret reported that the applications are out for the Land Stewards Program and <br />AmeriCorps has done a good job working on the trails and they will be back in March to finish <br />up their project. <br />Interactive Trail Mapping: Update <br />Katelyn Cadoret reported they are still working on the trail mapping and are awaiting town <br />meeting for the National Wildlife Refuge trail map. She noted the Conservation Department <br />may be getting an intern who will also be working with the GIS Department. <br />Herring Ladder Improvements: Update for John’s Pond and Santuit Pond <br />Katelyn reported the town did not get the John’s Pond grant. She noted there is a chance we may <br />qualify for a National Program. <br />Farley Bog Restoration: Update <br />No update on Farley Bog <br />Other items <br />Katelyn Cadoret reported on the vandalism at John’s Pond. She said she met with the town <br />manager and the police chief. She noted the violations were: by-passing the gate, moving the <br />boulders, ruts from four wheelers and trash. Mr. McKay noted the behavior has been become <br /> <br />
