MINUTES March 11, 1993 3 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> 4 <br /> Mr. Doherty recommended Mr. Smith research the possibil- <br /> ity of installing a tight tank however, cautioned Mr. Smith <br /> of the expense involved. <br /> APPOINTMENT: Bill Polloquin - Waste Management Recycling <br /> Mr. Polloquin did not attend the meeting. <br /> APPOINTMENT: Jim Chisholm - Quashnet Condo Recycling <br /> Mr. Jim Chisholm, Mr. Jon Michaels, Trustee and Manager <br /> of the Condominium Association and Mr. Burt Kaplan, manager <br /> of Cotuit Bay Condominiums were in attendance for this sched- <br /> uled appointment. <br /> Mr. Chisholm explained to the Board members their cur- <br /> rent dilemma with the upcoming recycling requirements man- <br /> dated by the State. <br /> Mr. Greelish informed Mr. Chisholm of the options avail- <br /> able for removal of recyclable materials and recommended in- <br /> stituting recycling initiatives for the owners/tenants. Mr. <br /> Greelish reminded parties in attendance of the requirement to <br /> provide dumpsters at their facility. <br /> At this time Mr. Greelish stepped down- from the meeting as he. <br /> is scheduled to meet with Sandwich representatives. <br /> Peter Watts - Cape Cod Poultry Farm <br /> Mr. Watts was in attendance to discuss composting at the <br /> landfill area. <br /> Mr. Watts questioned Board members as to the status of <br /> the contractual agreement and when the screening of the com- <br /> post material should begin. <br /> Mr. McQuaid informed Mr. Watts that Town Counsel is cur- <br /> rently in the process of reviewing the agreement. <br /> *****NEW BUSINESS***** <br /> Request from D.P.W. Supt. re: - -Disposal of road sand at the <br /> landfill area <br /> Board members agreed the material will be accepted as it <br /> can be utilized for cover material. <br />
