TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> April 29, 1993 <br /> Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> Members present: Stephen J. Greelish, Steven R. Ball and <br /> John T. Doherty <br /> THE TAPE IS NOT PART OF THE MEETING IT IS FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br /> TRANSCRIPTION ONLY. <br /> Mr. Stephen J. Greelish, Chairman <br /> I <br /> 1 .,) Warrants signed. <br /> 2 . ) Mr. Doherty motioned to accept the minutes of April 22 <br /> 1993, Mr. Ball seconded, all agreed. <br /> APPOINTMENT: Rob Paltz - B.F.I. Recycling Contract <br /> Mr. Paltz was in attendance for this scheduled appoint- <br /> ment. <br /> Mr. Paltz presented copies of the contractual agreement <br /> to Board members and relayed that the amendments previously <br /> requested are incorporated into the contract. "The rate for <br /> commingling of the tin and aluminum increased by $20.00 as <br /> once they are commingled the return decreases. " "Two eight <br /> yard containers will be provided for the cardboard and we <br /> will service them twice weekly. " "White goods and tire re- <br /> moval is also included. " "if a few rims are found in the <br /> container it should not create difficulties. " "It shall be <br /> at the Board's discretion to render a decision as to who will <br /> maintain the recycling area. " <br /> Mr. Greelish informed Mr. Paltz Brockton Iron and Steel <br /> are not to be retained to remove the white goods as when this <br /> office informed them their services would no longer be needed <br /> their last pickup resulted in vandalism of the white goods <br /> pile. <br /> Board members and Mr. Paltz agreed the contractual <br /> .agreement shall extend for a period of three years with- three <br /> subsequent one year renewals. <br /> Mr. Paltz agreed. <br /> Mr. Greelish directed Mr. McQuaid to forward the con- <br /> tract to Town Counsel for review. <br /> i <br />
