r . <br /> ! s <br /> MINUTES July 1, 1993 ' 14 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> *****NEW BUSINESS***** <br /> Solid Waste Transfer- Station Permit Renewal Application <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed, ' _"The' application was submitted by <br /> Weston & Sampson and signed by the Chairman and forwarded to <br /> D.E.P. . " <br /> Emergency Repair Certification _ 52 Santuit Pond Road <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed, "I inspected the system and found <br /> the cesspool full. " <br /> Mr. Ball motioned to grant the septic repair upgrade <br /> with the stipulation the owner agree to sign the affidavit <br /> which prohibits any increase in habitable space, Mr. Greelish <br /> seconded, all agreed. <br /> x <br /> FOR DISCUSSION• <br /> TRANSFER STATION INCIDENT - Mr. Doherty relayed, "An inci- <br /> dent took place on June 27, 1993 at the Transfer Station. " <br /> "The trailer's were in the process of being changed, there <br /> were a line of cars, one vehicle swerved out of the line and <br /> cut across the center and down through the "Transfer <br /> Trailer's Only" area came back up and cut off the trailer as <br /> it was backing into the tunnel" "The individual then pulled <br /> up into the trainer station on top and started to unload his <br /> trash. " "Mr. DiMaggio informed the individual that he was <br /> not permitted to access the upper level of the transfer sta- <br /> tion from the trailer area. " "The individual exchanged words <br /> with Mr. DiMaggio. " "Mr. DiMaggio then requested the indi- <br /> vidual to dispose of his trash and leave. " "The individual's <br /> name is Mr. Ryan. " "I would recommend the Board issue a fine <br /> or revoke the sticker. " "Employees at the landfill are sub- <br /> ject to a lot of abuse. " "One remark Mr. Ryan said to the <br /> employees was "You are unemployable, I am a taxpayer and you <br /> work for me. " <br /> Mr. Greelish requested Mr. Doherty obtain a copy of the <br /> incident report and directed Mr. McQuaid to request Mr. <br /> Ryan's attendance at the next meeting to show cause why this <br /> Board should not fine him and remove his Transfer Station <br /> privileges. "I would also recommend we request Mr. <br /> DiMaggio's attendance. " "Until further notice this indi- <br /> vidual should be barred from the Transfer Station." <br /> Board members agreed. <br />
