TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> July 22, 1993 <br /> Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> Members present: John T. Doherty, Steven R. Ball and Stephen <br /> J. Greelish <br /> THE TAPE IS NOT PART OF THE MEETING IT IS FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br /> TRANSCRIPTION ONLY. <br /> Mr. John T. Doherty, Chairman <br /> 1 . ) Warrants signed. <br /> 2 . ) Mr. Doherty requested a correction in the minutes of <br /> July 15, 1993 . The secretary will review the tape for <br /> verification and report back to the Board. <br /> The minutes of July 8 , 1993 will be held for approval at , <br /> a later date. ` <br /> e r r <br /> 3 . ) Response from Dan Santos re: Pond testing payment re- <br /> ua est - Mr. McQuaid relayed, "Our request was denied. " "In- <br /> stead, Dan Santos has offered to have H.A.Z.W.R.A.P. perform <br /> the monthly testing for v.o.c's for John's and Ashumet <br /> Ponds. " . "Two samples would be taken from each pond at the <br /> northern beach areas." "Barnstable County would perform the <br /> analysis." "In my opinion the testing offered is totally in-- <br /> adequate. " "Regardless of who would fund the analysis I <br /> would recommend this Board ignore the response and allow me <br /> to continue the bimonthly testing of both ponds." <br /> Board members agreed with Mr. McQuaid's recommendation. <br /> Mr. Greelish recommended a close cost accounting on the <br /> entire process for all expenses. "If the military if not <br /> willing to commit to reimburse us at this point we should <br /> seek reimbursement in the future. <br /> 4. ) Request for residential sticker, Michael Labute - Ms. <br /> Jane Labute was in attendance representing Michael Labute. <br /> Ms. Labute informed Board members her son would like to <br /> utilize his one ton dump truck to dispose of his household <br /> trash. "My son had a commercial sticker which he utilized to <br /> dispose of demolition however, what he was bringing in was <br /> not accepted under the commercial sticker requirements. " <br />
