f <br /> T <br /> MINUTES August 12 , 1993 2 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> Mr. Bali informed Board members that the Bog Operator <br /> intends to repair the sluice within the next two weeks. <br /> 5. ) Draft response to Dan Santos re: Pond testing - Mr. <br /> McQuaid relayed, "This letter is in response to the letter <br /> submitted by Mr. Santos which stated in his opinion more ex- <br /> tensive testing wasn't necessary. " "It was this Board's de- <br /> cision to continue our protocol of bi-weekly v.o.c. testing. " <br /> "Selectmen Jacobson did request I forward this response to <br /> Mr. Santos. " <br /> Acknowledged. <br /> 6. ) Latest pond test, results & invoice - Mr. McQuaid re- <br /> layed, "Test results were clean. " "Mr. Santos has authorized <br /> HAZWRAP to collect the samples once a month at two locations <br /> which is the only sampling that will be paid for. " "Payment <br /> for the additional fourteen samples I have taken is now due. " <br /> Mr. Doherty directed Mr. McQuaid to forward the invoice <br /> to the Selectmen's office as we did not incorporate this ex- <br /> pense into our budget and inform them testing was conducted <br /> as per their request. " "Also, recommend they create an envi- <br /> ronmental fund to pay for this and other environmental test- <br /> ing." <br /> 7. ) Amendment to Facility Plan from Weston & Sampson - Mr. <br /> Greelish relayed, "This is to bring our 201 into line with <br /> the requirement of D.E.P. " <br /> Mr. McQuaid questioned whether an article should be <br /> placed in the warrant for the $30 ,700.00. <br /> Mr. Greelish responded, "Yes. " 1130,000 is the maximum <br /> figure. " <br /> Board members agreed to submit an article in the upcom- <br /> ing town meeting to raise and appropriate the sum of <br /> $30,700.00 for additional engineering services associated <br /> with the Facility Plan. <br /> Lagoon Closure Cost Estimate - Mr. McQuaid relayed, "Weston <br /> & Sampson have estimated costs for the closure will amount to <br /> $50,600.00. " "The'addi.tional fill, -loam and seed could be <br /> completed in house which would reduce the estimate <br /> $20,000.00. " <br /> Mr. Greelish stated, "Unfortunately, an article must be <br /> submitted for the full amount. " "We can explain we hope to <br /> reduce this amount substantially. " <br /> I <br />
