Doherty, Chairman <br /> 1 . ) Warrants signed. <br /> 2 . ) Mr. Ball motioned to accept the minutes of October 28, <br /> 1993 , Mr. Greelish seconded, all agreed. <br /> 3 . ) Correspondence from Town Counsel re: D.E.P. request for <br /> payment - Mr. McQuaid relayed, "We did request additional <br /> information. and an admi-nistrative hearing: "D.E.P's posi- <br /> tion is that they undertook some work in testing wells around <br /> the landfill immediately after the contamination beneath <br /> Summerwood Condominiums was discovered. " "There position is <br /> the town did not act quick enough during the interim time <br /> frame so work was done by D.E.P. on behalf of the town. " <br /> Mr. Greelish stated, "I do not agree with their assess- <br /> ment. " "The town went to great lengths to alleviate the <br /> problem under the assumption that it could possibly have come <br /> from the landfill. " "Scientific evidence states the con- <br /> i <br /> tamination did not emanate from the landfill. " <br /> I <br /> 4 . ) Draft letter to Weston & Sampson re: 201 plans - Mr. <br /> McQuaid relayed, "The Executive Secretary did request I draft <br /> a letter. " <br /> Board members approved the letter as prepared. <br /> 5. ) C.C. Commission hearing re: Mini-Golf - Acknowledged. <br /> 6. ) Septic repair plan - New Seabury Country Club - Mr. <br /> McQuaid relayed, "Mr. Grotske is proposing to excavate and <br /> replace the stone around the two 100' leaching trenches. " <br /> Mr. Greelish questioned why the system failed as it was <br /> designed with excess capacity. <br />
