TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> February 24 , 1994 <br /> Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> Members present: John T. Doherty, Steven R. Ball and Stephen <br /> J. Greelish <br /> THE TAPE IS NOT PART OF THE MEETING IT IS FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br /> TRANSCRIPTION ONLY. <br /> Mr. John T. Doherty, Chairman <br /> 1. ) Warrants signed. <br /> 2 . ) Mr. Ball motioned to accept the minutes of February 17, <br /> 1994 , Mr. Greelish seconded, all agreed. <br /> 3 . ) Nomination of Inspector of Animals - Mr. Greelish mo- <br /> tioned to appoint Dr. David Lowrance, D.V.M. and Ms. June <br /> Daley, Mashpee Animal Control Officer as the Animal Inspec- <br /> tors for the town of Mashpee effective March 1, 1994 to Feb- <br /> ruary 28 , 1995, Mr. Ball seconded, all agreed. <br /> 4 . ) Letter from Brockton Iron & Steel - Acknowledged. <br /> 5. ) Complaint - Transfer Station gate attendant - Mr. <br /> McQuaid explained, "I received the complaint and immediately <br /> contacted the contractor." "Mr. DiMaggio questioned the com- <br /> plainants attitude. " "The gate attendant has been an em- <br /> ployee of Mr. DiMaggio's for seven or eight years. " "This is <br /> the first complaint we have received on this individual . " <br /> Mr. Doherty commented, "The complainant did try to enter <br /> the landfill without a sticker. " "I would recommend this <br /> Board send a letter to the gate attendant and inform him that <br /> a complaint was filed. " "I would also recommend we forward a <br /> letter to the complainant and inform him it is his responsi- <br /> bility to have a sticker affixed to the vehicle and that at- <br /> tempting to enter the landfill without a sticker is a viola- <br /> tion of the Transfer Station regulations and is punishable by <br /> a fine. " <br /> Mr. Greelish commented, "I spoke with the complainant <br /> and informed him the gate attendant was doing his job. " "I <br /> did advise him to place a complaint on file which this Board <br /> would review. " <br />
