TOWN OF MASHPEE BOARD OF HEALTH February 24 , 1994 Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. Members present: John T. Doherty, Steven R. Ball and Stephen J. Greelish THE TAPE IS NOT PART OF THE MEETING IT IS FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRANSCRIPTION ONLY. Mr. John T. Doherty, Chairman 1. ) Warrants signed. 2 . ) Mr. Ball motioned to accept the minutes of February 17, 1994 , Mr. Greelish seconded, all agreed. 3 . ) Nomination of Inspector of Animals - Mr. Greelish mo- tioned to appoint Dr. David Lowrance, D.V.M. and Ms. June Daley, Mashpee Animal Control Officer as the Animal Inspec- tors for the town of Mashpee effective March 1, 1994 to Feb- ruary 28 , 1995, Mr. Ball seconded, all agreed. 4 . ) Letter from Brockton Iron & Steel - Acknowledged. 5. ) Complaint - Transfer Station gate attendant - Mr. McQuaid explained, "I received the complaint and immediately contacted the contractor." "Mr. DiMaggio questioned the com- plainants attitude. " "The gate attendant has been an em- ployee of Mr. DiMaggio's for seven or eight years. " "This is the first complaint we have received on this individual . " Mr. Doherty commented, "The complainant did try to enter the landfill without a sticker. " "I would recommend this Board send a letter to the gate attendant and inform him that a complaint was filed. " "I would also recommend we forward a letter to the complainant and inform him it is his responsi- bility to have a sticker affixed to the vehicle and that at- tempting to enter the landfill without a sticker is a viola- tion of the Transfer Station regulations and is punishable by a fine. " Mr. Greelish commented, "I spoke with the complainant and informed him the gate attendant was doing his job. " "I did advise him to place a complaint on file which this Board would review. "
