TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> April 7, 1994 <br /> Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> Members present: John T. Doherty and Steven R. Ball <br /> THE TAPE IS NOT PART OF THE MEETING, IT IS FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br /> TRANSCRIPTION ONLY. <br /> Mr. John T. Doherty, Chairman <br /> 1 . ) Warrants signed. <br /> 2. ) Mr. Ball motioned to accept the minutes of March 24 , <br /> 1994 , Mr. Doherty seconded. <br /> 3. ) F.Y. '95_Omnibus Article - Mr. McQuaid relayed, "I am <br /> unsure as to how the Finance Committee intends to fund the <br /> increase for the Human Services account." "Apparently, they <br /> intend to fund it in-house. " <br /> Mr. Ball recommended this Board forward a letter to the <br /> Finance Committee questioning them as to how they intend to <br /> fund the increase for the Human Services account. <br /> Mr. Doherty agreed. <br /> 4. ) Copy of letter -to D.E.P. re: SEMASS - Mr. McQuaid re- <br /> layed, "I did attend a Council of SEMASS Communities meeting <br /> in Rochester last week. " "There may be a change in law re- <br /> quiring an additional fund set aside for the capping and <br /> postclosure monitoring for the landfill they use for their <br /> ash. " "I was informed that fund already exists so I prepared <br /> a letter supporting the Chairman of the SEMASS Communities <br /> indicating to D.E.P. that they should rescind that require- <br /> ment since it is redundant and already in place. " "I did <br /> mention this to the Executive Secretary who will request Mr. <br /> Tom Cahir to research the matter. " <br /> Acknowledged. <br /> 5. ) Variance request - 10 Naushon Road 47 Bayberry Drive <br /> and 31 Shore Drive <br /> 10 NAUSHON ROAD - Mr. McQuaid informed Board members, "This <br /> is an upgrade due to a proposed addition. " "All abutters <br /> within 150' of the proposed leaching facility are on town wa- <br /> ter. " "A 3' sideline variance is requested. " <br />
