� i f TOWN OF MASHPEE BOARD OF HEALTH June 16, . 1994 Meeting called to order at 7 :00 p.m. Members present: Steven R. Ball , John T. Doherty and Robert F. Cram. THE TAPE IS NOT PART OF THE MEETING IT IS FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRANSCRIPTION ONLY. Mr. Steven R. Ball, Chairman 1. ) Warrants signed. 2 . ) Mr. Doherty motioned to accept the minutes of June 9, 1994, Mr. Cram seconded, all agreed. 3. ) Sign 1994 Human Services Contracts - Board members for- warded their signatures to the following human service con- tracts for fiscal year 1994: The Cape Cod Human Services, Inc. , The Cape Cod Council on Alcoholism, The Thorne Clinic and The Visiting Nurses Association. 4. ) Copy of memo to N. Caffyn re: __Health Clinic - Mr. McQuaid relayed, "I discussed this matter with Selectmen Caffyn. " "It appears all she is looking for is for space to be allocated at the new High School for the use of lead screening, immunization, counseling, etc. by our human ser- vice contractors. " "Mr. Evans, who attended the Selectmen meeting, was of the opinion their is some movement on foot to take the health services away from the Board of Health and refer them to the Department of Leisure Services. " "That was not the opinion I got from Selectmen Caffyn however, Mr. Evans has enough concern to discuss the matter tonight. " "As far as, I am concerned allocating additional space or exist- ing space at the proposed High School for our health services to use I have no objection to. " "I would agree that we should support Selectmen Caffyn's concept of establishing a permanent health clinic facility for our health service con- tracts." Mr. Evans relayed, "After attending the Selectmen's meeting it was my impression they were proposing a whole new health care delivery system at Town Hall . " "It did not ap- pear the Board of Health would be included. " Acknowledged.
