i w <br /> MINUTES August 4 , 1994 3 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> Acknowledged. <br /> 7. ) Proposed Bio-clere system, 23 Waterline Drive - Mr. <br /> McQuaid relayed, "The proposed bio-clere system is a result <br /> of the Conservation Commission regulation which states no <br /> more than two bedroom homes can be erected without a nitrogen <br /> reducing system. " "The system originally proposed was ap- <br /> proved by the Board of Health on March 29, 1994 .1" "Subse- <br /> quently, they applied to the Conversation Commission who in- <br /> formed them a nitrogen reducing system must be installed. " <br /> "They originally proposed three bedrooms with a garbage <br /> grinder which was adequate for the system. " <br /> Mr. Doherty motioned to approve the bio-clere system as <br /> proposed, Mr. Ball seconded. Mr. Cram abstained. <br /> DISCUSSION <br /> HIGH SACHEM ESTATES - Mr. McQuaid relayed, "Once funds be- <br /> came available I forwarded water service applications to the <br /> eight homeowners in High Sachem Estates that have not tied <br /> in. " "To date I have received four applications one of which <br /> included a statement from the bank, who owns property that is <br /> currently condemned, that they would tie-in at their <br /> expense. " "One home which is located within 500' of the <br /> landfill area has not responded. " "We spoke with that <br /> homeowner who expressed her concern with the expense and po- <br /> tability of public water. " ""D.E.P. will be meeting with us <br /> in the next few weeks to discuss capping, etc. " "I an recom- <br /> mending the Board go forward with retaining an excavator and <br /> plumber to hook up those four dwellings. " <br /> Mr. Ball recommended the Board request three quotes from <br /> contractors . "The plumber would be subcontracted out by the <br /> contractor therefore, we will request a quote for the entire <br /> cost of hooking up four homes and another quote to include an <br /> additional three homes. " <br /> Mr. Cram motioned to direct the agent to obtain three <br /> quotes from local contractors to perform all the necessary <br /> work associated with public water hookup to four homes and to <br /> request the contractor's include a quote for hookup of three <br /> additional homes, Mr. Doherty seconded, all agreed. <br /> Being no further business Mr. Doherty motioned to adjourn <br /> this meeting at 8: 12 p.m. , Mr. Cram seconded, all agreed. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Veronica Warden, Adm.
