Cram, Sr. <br /> THE TAPE IS NOT PART OF THE MEETING IT IS FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br /> TRANSCRIPTION ONLY. <br /> Mr. Steven R. Ball, Chairman <br /> 1.) Warrants signed. <br /> 2.) Mr. Cram motioned to accept the minutes of September 22, 1994, Mr. Doherty <br /> seconded. <br /> 3.) Response to John Bowen's request for water reimbursement - Mr. McQuaid <br /> relayed, "Mr. Bowen applied for water connection prior to the Board of Health issuing a <br /> letter to residents in the High Sachem Estates subdivision urging hook-up." "Mr. Bowen <br /> submitted letters from the Water District dating back to August of 1990 which explains <br /> how to apply, who may connect, etc." "There is a statement from the Water District <br /> saying if you apply within 60 days you get a reduced rate." "I would recommend we <br /> forward a letter to Mr. Bowen with a copy to the Selectmen stating if he wishes to pursue <br /> this matter by petitioning the Selectmen along with other homeowners in High Sachem <br /> Estates for reimbursement, although we did not accept full responsibility for the <br /> groundwater contamination we will support their request." <br /> Mr. Doherty stated, "I would recommend we meet with the Selectmen to discuss <br /> the matter." "I will research the matter prior to meeting with the Selectmen." <br /> Mr. Ball commented, "We should request a copy of the original contract which <br /> describes hook-up procedures and contact Mr. Bowen to proceed with the petition." <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed, "it is time for the Selectmen to find out the facts and <br /> question the Water District." "If the town paid for the connection fees why were the <br /> homeowners charged." <br />
