Proposed ATM warrant article re: Landfill closure/capping - Mr. McQuaid <br /> relayed, "I don't expect we will be capping the landfill in fiscal year 1996 however, to <br /> ensure we receive the $350,000.00 grant from D.E.P. they need to know that the town has <br /> appropriated the remaining funds to complete the job." "Whether we do it in fiscal year <br /> 1996, which in my opinion will not be necessary because I heard we have been reclassified <br /> from a significant threat to a potential threat, this is just to guarantee that we keep the <br /> $350,000.00 grant." "If it is appropriate in May we will ride it until we are required to <br /> close the landfill." <br /> Mr. Doherty motioned to approve the article for submittal at the .1995 May <br /> Annual Town Meeting. <br /> 8.) Emergency repair certification 8 Nohono Road 254 Mash pee Neck Road 85 <br /> Gleneagle Drive and 299 Cotuit Road <br /> 8 NOHONO ROAD - Mr. Evans relayed, "This is about a 30 year home." "The system <br /> was pouring down the side of the hill so immediate repair was authorized." <br /> I <br /> Board members forwarded their signatures to the "Emergency Repair <br /> Certification" form. <br /> 254 MASHPEE NECK ROAD - Mr. Evans relayed, "The leach bed failed and there <br /> was standing liquid in the area." <br /> i <br /> Board members forwarded their signatures to the "Emergency Repair <br /> i <br /> Certification" form. <br /> 85 GLENEAGLE DRIVE - Mr. McQuaid relayed, "I visited the site and found the <br /> existing cesspool in failure." "A new leach pit will be added straight off the tank keeping <br /> jthe old cesspool as a reserve." <br /> Board members forwarded their signatures to the "Emergency Repair <br /> Certification" form. <br /> 299 COTUIT ROAD - Mr. Evans relayed, "I popped open the cover to the leach pit and <br /> septage came gushing out." <br />
