Ball
THE TAPE IS NOT PART OF THE MEETING IT IS FOR THE PURPOSE OF
TRANSCRIPTION ONLY.
Mr, John T. Doherty, Chairman
1.) Warrants signed.
APPOINTMENT: Steve Wilson- 55 Uncle Edwards Road
Mr. Steve Wilson was in attendance for this scheduled appointment.
Mr. Wilson stated, "The initial perk did not meet the requirements for 4' of
naturally occurring permeable soil between the bottom of the leaching facility and
groundwater." "We re-perked the lot in different locations." "We did manage to get the
sufficient amount of sand in one location." "The hole caved before we could get a
groundwater reading." "At another one of the deep holes the groundwater adjustment
was 3.3', we hit 7' of suitable material so we fail 3/10 of a foot short of having the 4' of
adjusted groundwater."
Mr. McQuaid commented, "That is quite a significant adjustment." "I would
recommend another test pit at the northeast corner of the lot."
Mr. Doherty relayed, "If 4' of material were there but separated by an unsuitable
layer so long as the sum of the two layers is there we will allow you to strip-out the
unsuitable material but you must have 4' of naturally occurring suitable material in place."
Mr. McQuaid requested Mr. Wilson contact the office in the morning to scheduled
another perk test date.
I
2.)
