TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> May 25, 1995 <br /> Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> Members present: John T. Doherty, Robert F. Cram, Sr. and Steven R. Ball <br /> THE TAPE IS NOT PART OF THE MEETING IT IS FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br /> TRANSCRIPTION ONLY. <br /> N <br /> Mr. John T. Doherty, Chairman <br /> 1.) Warrants signed. <br /> 2.) Mr_ Cram motioned to accept the minutes of May 25, 1995, Mr. Ball seconded, all <br /> agreed. <br /> 3.) Copy of letter from W& S to D.E.P. re: Lagoon Closure - Mr. McQuaid relayed, <br /> "We have been trying to get D.E.P. to approve our closing of the lagoon project." <br /> "D.E.P. has relayed we must do extensive testing on the sludge, more then just semi- <br /> v.o.c.'s." "Weston & Sampson have been working on our behalf to reduce the number of <br /> tests which would reduce the costs of closing the lagoons." "Mr. DiMaggio has been <br /> ready to close the lagoons but it involves excavating the remaining sludge at the bottom of <br /> the pits and mixing it with sand then landfilling it." "It's been an ongoing struggle with <br /> D.E.P. to get their approval." <br /> Acknowledged. <br /> APPOINTMENT: Gus Frederick - Mashpee Anniversary Food Stands <br /> Mr. Gus Frederick was in attendance for this scheduled appointment. <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed, "There are a series of food concession stands involved in <br /> this celebration." "The Board questioned whether or not any or all were non-profit." <br /> Mr. Frederick relayed, "This weekend most of the activities will be held on <br /> Saturday and Sunday." "The Pops Committee will be overseeing the food concessions on <br /> school grounds." "They were volunteering to do the concessions and the money raised <br />
