i
MINUTES June 29, 1995 4 BOARD OF HEALTH
Mr. Cram questioned, "What period of time did the ptampings take place?"
Ms. Amaral responded, "One was on the 12th of June, last night, the night before
and it is in need of one right now." "It is not a trickle, it is a river running down the
street." "Children are playing in it." "I have been in contact with this office several times
today and I understand that they need to go through and contract out with the Mashpee
people, engineers and so forth." "The problem is not getting the people to do it the
problem is negotiating the price." "If he wants to be a cheap person about it that's fine
but I do not want to have to put up with it anymore." "I have a petition which was started
at home from my neighbors." "Their very upset about this, seeing it running across some
people's property not to mention the town street and into Santuit Pond." "It's disgusting,
it smells, I have all kinds of bugs." "I wish you had a v.c.r. because a picture is worth a
thousand words." "I have taped this continuously over the last couple of weeks." "It's
not something I think, when the letter was sent out it said this was to be abated
immediately." "I had the health inspector come out last night and the night before, as you
said you saw him on Cotuit Road, he was probably coming from my house." "Where it
was said to me and that person who was pumping that the tank is a 750 gallon tank, it
needs to be upgraded to at least a 1000 to 1500 gallon tank." "If you step into wherever,
I don't know what it is, a leach, I don't know what it is that it's flowing from you step
knee high to waist high in muck and sewage."
Mr. Cram questioned Mr. Amaral, "How many bedrooms in this property."
Ms. Amaral responded, "It has three bedrooms and a laundry room which is a
fairly good sized which could be considered a bedroom but it's not listed as a 4 bedroom
it's listed as a three bedroom."
Mr. Doherty stated, "I would like each agent to give an evaluation of what you
found."
Mr. Evans stated, "I was out there on the l5th and it was obvious there was a
major problem." "As soon as I returned to the office I tried to get in touch with Mr.
DeFrancisco which ultimately I did on the next day but I couldn't that day." "I wrote this
letter to the owner who never received it as the address we had was incorrect." "Mr.
DeFrancisco, who is the son-in law, did receive it therefore, he is the agent of the owner
and knew about it." "I talked with him two or three times since then about getting this
thing done," "I gave him 30 days in which to complete it but he had to pump to relieve
the major problem."
Mr. Cram questioned, "Have we a current address for the owner of the property?"
