Cram, Sr. and Steven R. Ball <br /> THE TAPE IS NOT PART OF THE MEETING IT IS FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br /> TRANSCRIPTION ONLY. <br /> Mr. John T. Doherty, Chairman <br /> l.) Warrants signed. <br /> 2.) Mr. Cram motioned to accept the minutes of September 14, 1995, Mr. Ball <br /> seconded, all agreed. <br /> 3.) Letter from D.E.P. re: Capping Grant - Mr. McQuaid relayed, "The capping <br /> grant program is not part of the solid waste program." "The solid waste division of <br /> D.E.P. is aware of the fact of our negotiations to extend the deadline by which we have to <br /> cap the landfill." "Weston & Sampson are preparing a revised consent order, going along <br /> with D.E.P.'s approval to extend our landfill life to 1998." "Once we sign this consent <br /> order the grant will come through." <br /> i <br /> Acknowledged. <br /> 4.) Proposed letter to D.E.P. re: Town Hall water supply - Mr. McQuaid relayed, <br /> "We, the Board of Health, forwarded a letter to the Selectmen that they instruct or <br /> recommend to the Water District that they put an article in on their town mectin <br /> requesting that they provide town water to town hall." "This is a political ball game in <br /> that the Water District wants the town to be of the feeling that we and D.E.P. will require <br /> town water." Phase I renovations to town hall will decrease the square footage which <br /> would not require us to tie in to town water." "When Phase II comes along, which Avill <br /> mean constructing a second addition, at that time we understand that we will have to tie in <br /> to town water." <br /> Mr. Doherty relayed, "In speaking with Selectmen Costa, he expressed his <br /> concerns over the project costs." <br />
