TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> November 2, 1995 <br /> Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> Members present: John T. Doherty, Robert F. Cram, Sr. and Steven R. Ball. <br /> THE TAPE IS NOT PART OF THE MEETING IT IS FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br /> TRANSCRIPTION ONLY. <br /> Mr. John T. Doherty, Chairman <br /> r <br /> 1.) Warrants signed. <br /> 2.) Mr. Cram motioned to accept the minutes of October 26, 1995, Mr. Doherty <br /> seconded. <br /> APPOINTMENT: DiMaggio/Bodjiak- Cape Cod Recycling Center <br /> Mr. S. Joseph DiMaggio and Mr. Bodjiak were in attendance for this scheduled <br /> appointment. <br /> Mr. Bodjiak stated, "This site was formerly known as the Sandwich Stump <br /> Dump." "We have taken basically brush and stumps for the last'six years." "We have <br /> been trying to obtain a permit for construction, demolition debris and a recycling transfer <br /> station." "We have gone through and had a site assessment issued by the tov TA of <br /> Sandwich, we've gone through the Cape Cod Commission and D.E.P. has issued a draft <br /> construction permit on September 28, 1995 which had a 30 day appeal period which <br /> expires this week." "We're in the process of modifying the building." "The basic thnrst of <br /> our operation is to take construction and demolition debris and recycle what we can." <br /> Mr. McQuaid stated, "We are concerned no only with construction and demolition <br /> debris but also all our recyclables." "Right now we're hauling our newsprint to Sandwich <br /> and plastics to Bourne." "I was under the impression you were going to not only handle <br /> construction and demolition debris but other recyclables." <br /> Mr. Bodjiak responded, "Construction and demolition material will be our major <br /> thnrst." "There are basically three waste steams we service; construction, demolition <br />
