r <br /> ` MINUTES December 21, 1995 2 BOARD OF HIIALTF-I <br /> APPOINTMENT: M. Arthur Weinstein -A.M.I. <br /> Mr. Evans relayed, "Mr. Weinstein did request the Board postpone this <br /> appointment to a later date." <br /> Board members agreed. <br /> APPOINTMENT: Cynthia Woerdeman- Illegal Dumping <br /> Ms. Woerdeman was in attendance for this scheduled appointment. <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed, "This case was brought to my attention through the <br /> Mashpee Police Department." "While on routine patrol on Great Hay Road an officer saw <br /> two bags of trash and a couple of boxes off on the side of the road." "I went through the <br /> trash and found items belonging to Cynthia Woerdeman." "I cited Ms. Woerdeman." <br /> "Subsequently, she came to our office and explained that she has proof she didn't do it." <br /> "I questioned her proof, at which time she turned to her son and s.zid her son had done it <br /> and already cleaned it up."' "I went out to the site and found the area cleaned up." "I did <br /> recommend Ms. Woerdeman explain her situation to the Board and request their <br /> reconsideration." <br /> Ms. Woerdeman stated, "When my son went back to clean it up there were three <br /> more bags of trash which I had my son also dispose of" <br /> Ms. Woerdeman son stated, "I was in a big rush and decided to toss it in the <br /> woods." <br /> Mr. Doherty questioner! Ms. Woerdeman's son as to whether he has a transfer <br /> station sticker. <br /> Ms. Woerdeman's son responded, "Yes." <br /> Mr. Doherty explained to the Woerdeman's the expenses incurred when illegal <br /> dumping takes place." <br /> Mr. Ball stated, "I would recommend Board members reconsider the citation.." <br /> Mr. Ball motioned to rescind the $300,00 citation issued to his. Cynthia <br /> Woerdeman, Mr. Cram seconded, all agreed. <br />
