TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> April 9, 1998 <br /> Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> Members present: Steven R. Ball and John T. Doherty. <br /> THE TAPE IS NOT PART OF THE MEETING IT IS FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br /> TRANSCRIPTION ONLY. <br /> Mr. Steven R. Bali, Chairman <br /> 1.) Warrants signed. <br /> 2.) Mr. Doherty motioned to accept the minutes of March 19, 1998, Mr. Ball <br /> seconded. <br /> Mr. Doherty motioned to accept the minutes of March 26, 1998, Mr. Ball <br /> seconded. <br /> APPOINTMENT: Michael Scipione - Landfill Closure <br /> Mr. Michael Scipione and Mr. Roger Alcott, representing the engineering firm of <br /> Weston& Sampson, were in attendance for this scheduled appointment. <br /> Mr. Scipione updated Board members on the closure plan and presented a closure <br /> plan schedule. Mr. Scipione stated, "Plans and Specifications will be submitted to D.E.P. <br /> by April 15, 1998, review and approval by D.E.P. should be received by April 30, 1998, the <br /> advertisement of the bid will be by May 1, 1998, bid opening June 5, 1998 and contract <br /> award by June 12, 1998." "According to your "Administrative Consent Order" you need <br /> to award the contract by July 30, 1998." "The bid process will be an open process under <br /> Chapter 30." <br /> Mr. McQuaid stated, "This is a big project, in my opinion we have enough money <br /> in the closure appropriation to let Weston& Sampson handle the bidding, review and pre- <br /> bid opening." <br />
