MINUTES April 23, 1998 3 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> Mr. McQuaid stated, "In my opinion, the Planning Board requirement for a <br /> groundwater quality study is not necessitated in this instance as town water will be <br /> supplying the dwellings and this is a small subdivision." <br /> Mr. Cram motioned to waive the water quality study requirement as adopted by <br /> the Planning Board in the Mashpee Zoning By-laws section 174-27, paragraph 9 based on <br /> the size of the subdivision and public water servicing the dwellings, Mar. Ball seconded. <br /> Cherrystone's H(375 Route 151) - <br /> Mr. Slavinsky stated, "In 1992 prior to the new Title V requirements this Board <br /> approved initial plans for a twelve seat restaurant." "The last revision date was January 5, <br /> i <br /> 1993." "A septic permit was never pulled for the restaurant." "My question is whether or <br /> not my client will be required to install a leaching facility under new Title V requirements." <br /> Mr. McQuaid commented, "We could request D.E.P.'s opinion." <br /> Mr. Cram commented, `Based on Title V regulations the system should be <br /> constructed under the new Title V requirements." "They can always appeal the matter." <br /> I <br /> Mr. Ball agreed. <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed, "I will contact the D.E.P. for their opinion in this matter." <br /> Acknowledged. <br /> *****NEW BUSINESS***** <br /> J. Braydon Thomas Plume <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed, "I just received a report of the plume's location, v.o.c <br /> sampling results and remediation plans." <br /> Board members will review the report. <br /> Compost Screening <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed, "I am in the process of soliciting quotes from three parties <br /> and should have them by next week's meeting." <br /> Acknowledged. <br />
