TOWN OF NMASHPEE <br /> i <br /> BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> October 22, 1998 <br /> Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> Members present: Robert F. Cram, Sr. and Steven R_ Ball <br /> THE TAPE IS NOT PART OF THE MEETING IT IS FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br /> TRANSCRIPTION ONLY. <br /> Mr. Robert F. Cram, Chairman <br /> I ) Warrants signed. <br /> 2.) The minutes of October 1, 1998 were not accepted as Mr. Doherty was not in <br /> attendance. <br /> Mr. Ball motioned to accept the minutes of October 8, 1998, Mr. Cram seconded. <br /> 3.) Execution of M.O.U. wBourne re: Difficult to manage waste - Mr. McQuaid <br /> relayed, "The Board of Selectmen or Board of Health may sign the "Memorandum of <br /> Understanding"." "It has to go to town counsel for their review." "As the Board of <br /> Health oversees the landfill I would recommend you sign the agreement." <br /> Board members forwarded their signatures to the "Memorandum of <br /> Understanding". <br /> 4.) Memo to Exec. Sec. Re: Transfer Station Hours - Mr. McQuaid stated, "This <br /> memo is a result of the Board's vote on October 8, 1998 to close the landfill on Tuesdays." <br /> "This is a savings of$25,000 per year." <br /> Acknowledged. <br /> 5.) Letter from Weston & Sampson re: Landfill closure Project - Mr. McQuaid <br /> relayed, "Crowell Construction will run approximately one month late however, Weston <br /> and Sampson are of the opinion we won't be subject to fines by the D.E.P.." <br /> Acknowledged. <br />
