TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> May 19, 1999 <br /> Meeting was called to order at 7:04 p.m. <br /> Members present: Steven R. Ball, John T. Doherty, Robert F. Cram, Sr., Elias A. <br /> McQuaid and Veronica A. Mayer <br /> THE TAPE IS NOT PART OF THE MEETING; IT IS FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br /> TRANSCRIPTION ONLY. <br /> Mr. Steven R. Ball, Chairman <br /> 1. Sign warrants. Warrants signed. <br /> 2. Approve Minutes of April 29 1999 meetin <br /> Mr. Craze motioned to approve the minutes of April 28, 1999. Mr. Ball <br /> seconded the motion. Motion passed. <br /> APPOINTMENT Debbie Dami re: Transfer Station sticker sales <br /> Ms. Dami was in attendance for her scheduled appointment. <br /> Ms. Dami stated, "I'd like to get the Board's approval for charging a fee for <br /> replacement transfer station stickers if the resident doesn't bring in the sticker. <br /> We currently issue a replacement sticker at no charge. Where we are now <br /> giving out stickers for people to put on themselves, I'm afraid that we will have <br /> the possibility of a black market for the stickers. They could turn around and <br /> sell them. If you bring in the old sticker, well replace it at no charge, but if you <br /> don't bring it in, well charge $5.00." <br /> Mr. McQuaid stated, "I would suggest that you consider having your staff put <br /> the replacement stickers on so that you can verify the license plate numbers <br /> that were given." <br /> Mr. Doherty motioned to charge a $5.00 fee for replacement transfer station <br /> stickers if no original sticker is presented and to have all replacement stickers <br /> affixed by Town Clerk personnel. Mr. Cram seconded the motion. Motion <br /> passed. <br /> Ms. Dana also asked that the Board consider pro--rating transfer station <br /> stickers starting April lat. Discussion ensued regarding pro-rating of stickers. <br /> Board decided to abandon the idea at this time. <br /> 3. Letter from D. Me athlin re: Southca e support <br /> Mr. Megathlin's letter requesting the Board's support for the Cape Cod <br /> Commission was acknowledged by the Board. Mr. McQuaid stated that he <br /> would be willing to send a memo of support for their hearing on May 26. <br />
