Request for meeting minutes copies <br /> Dear Chairman Ball, <br /> On Friday November 12, 1999, at the Board of Health office I verbally requested <br /> copies of the September and October, 19�99 Board meeting minutes. I am herewith <br /> expanding that request to add November 1999. <br /> I was provided with copies of August 5 and October 14, 1999 minutes on my <br /> 11/12 visit. At that time I was informed that September 2, 1999 minutes were on hand <br /> (not approved by the Board) and all other requested minutes were still on tape awaiting <br /> transcription. I was refused a copy of the 9/2/99 minutes and given the reason`Board <br /> policy does not allow the release of unapproved minutes. I believe the refusal is a <br /> violation of the Commonwealth's Public record's Law and request immediate release of <br /> the minutes(which I assume would be marked "draft"). <br /> Whereas, the tapes for the meetings not having approved minutes are a public <br /> record currently, I request the opportunity to listen to the unmodified tapes. I am, <br /> therefore suggesting that following the availability of each draft minutes instead of erasing <br /> or recording over the tapes they be made temporarily available to me. I recognize this <br /> request may extend the response time, I do, however, still request the identified meetings <br /> draft minutes. <br /> Thank you, in advance, for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. <br /> Sincerely, <br /> Edward A.
