It was the consensus of the Board to make no <br /> changes to this particular language at this time. <br /> John Doherty agreed that older, more experienced <br /> practitioners would be preferable, however he questioned legal, <br /> Constitutional ramifications stating it is feasible for a person <br /> of eighteen years to qualify. <br /> Page -7- (F) "Smoking, eating, or drinking is prohibited in <br /> the area where body art is performed. " He suggested this be <br /> modified to read "" . . .within the establishment. " The Board agreed <br /> this change should be made. <br /> Page -9- (0) "Proof shall be provided upon request of the <br /> Board that all practitioners have either completed or were <br /> offered and declined, in writing, the hepatitis B vaccination <br /> series. This offering should be included as a pre-employment <br /> requirement. " He suggested that the hepatitis B vaccination <br /> series be required for all practitioners as a precaution for <br /> protection of both the practitioner/client . <br /> John Doherty suggested the amendment should read, " . . .proof <br /> shall provided prior to the issuance of the practitioner <br /> license. . . " ; to which all Board Members agreed. <br /> There being no further suggestions for amendment, the <br /> Chairman entertained a motion. <br /> MOTION: Glenn Santos made a Motion to adopt the proposed <br /> Model Regulation, prepared by the Department of Public Health, <br /> subject to the above-mentioned modifications to Page -7- (F) ; and <br /> Page -9- , (0) ; which Motion was seconded by John Doherty and so <br /> moved unanimously. <br /> i <br /> 7 : 15 p.m. -Diane Bonito-Illegal Dumping <br /> The Chairman recognized Diane Bonito, who identified herself <br /> for the record. <br /> I <br /> Veronica Warden reported the Health Agent, not she, had <br /> conducted an inspection on November 22, 2000 . The Mashpee Police <br /> Department Incident Report reads "I received evidence from the <br /> M. P.D. of illegal dumping on Noisy Hole. The evidence indicates <br /> that the owner of the trash is Diane Bonito. " Citation issued <br /> 11/22/00/. <br /> Ms . Bonito stated she hires a person- to pick up her trash on <br /> a weekly basis. In this person" s absence/vacation a substitute <br /> service was offered. She did in fact contact the substitute and <br /> -3- <br />
