Ball, John T. Doherty, L. Glenn Santos, Elias A. McQuaid <br /> and Veronica A. Approve Minutes of August 24 & 31, 2000 meetings <br /> Mr. Santos motioned to approve the minutes of the August 24, 2000 meeting. <br /> Mr. Ball seconded the motion. Motion passed. <br /> The minutes from the August 31, 2000 meeting were not available. <br /> 3. Copv of memo sent to ZBA re: Canal Auto Body <br /> Board acknowledged. <br /> 4. Letter to and response from W&S re: Moe's proposals <br /> Mr. Doherty stated that all of the questions raised were not answered in the <br /> response from Weston & Samson. "Since Weston & Sampson designed the <br /> building, wasn't it designed to be for year round use and operation, then why <br /> all of a sudden are these items creating a problem in terms of pipes freezing, <br /> water freezing? There was no response to that." <br /> Mr. Ball stated that he would like to see these items addressed and sent to the <br /> Board of Selectmen and also a letter to Weston & Sampson sent regarding Mr. <br /> Doherty's concerns. <br /> Mr. McQuaid stated that Weston & Sampson prior to this operator, there wasn't <br /> a problem with these sorts of things. There has been heat in the office and in <br /> the gatehouse. <br /> Mr. Doherty stated that he would contact Weston & Sampson to discuss this <br /> situation. <br /> Mr. Santos stated that Weston & Sampson brought up some good points with <br /> regard to the waste oil heater and due to their comments he had changed his <br /> position with regard to the heater. He stated that he does not recommend it at <br /> this time. Mr. Doherty agreed. <br />
