MINUTES April 13, 2000 7 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> 111 Nini ret Avenue <br /> Mr. McQuaid indicated that the cesspool is full and a new Title V system is to <br /> be installed. <br /> Board members forwarded their signatures to the Emergency Failure <br /> Certification form. <br /> 153 Wading Place Road <br /> Mr. McQuaid indicated that the cesspool is full and the installation of a <br /> distribution box and 2 500-gallon drywells with T of stone is necessary. <br /> Board members forwarded their signatures to the Emergency Failure <br /> Certification form. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> a. MMR meeting <br /> Board acknowledged. <br /> b. Memo re: water problem in basement of Town Hall <br /> Board acknowledged. <br /> C. Transfer Station sign for metal pile <br /> Ms. Warden stated that the transfer station operator wants a sign stating "The <br /> Town of Mashpee prohibits" the dumping of anything other than metals in the <br /> metal pile. Mr. Doherty stated that the Board should authorize him to buy the <br /> sign stating that the Town of Mashpee does not allow anything other than <br /> metals in the pile. He further stated that the operator is responsible for signage <br /> Mr. Doherty motioned to deny the request by the transfer station operator for <br /> the Board of Health to purchase a sign for the metals pile. Mr. Santos seconded <br /> the motion. Motion to deny passed. <br /> Mr. Doherty further motioned to authorize the transfer station operator to <br /> purchase a sign with the Town of Mashpee name on it. Mr. Santos seconded <br /> the motion. Motion passed. <br /> d. Stendahl Place (unscheduled appointment) <br /> At this point, Mr. Brad Caffyn requested a public comment period on a septic <br /> situation at Stendahl Place. <br /> Mr. McQuaid stated, "Apparently there is a failed system out there. Ronnie <br /> went out and checked a failed system and the whole area of Stendahl Place in <br /> New Seabury is upside down; our files are very inaccurate on that whole place. <br /> I've talked with the Chairman of the Stendahl Place Association and suggested <br /> that they hire an engineer to give us accurate as-builts of every septic system in <br /> that part of Mashpee and also to pursue connecting to the treatment plant <br /> when that comes on line. Other than that, there is nothing to report other than <br /> there is one failed system that Ronnie has witnessed." <br />
