Page 2 . <br /> 12. ) Chm. Thomas stated that she felt it was an invasion of privacy. Sel. <br /> Garland feels it is the Chief' s decision. Board recommends .their <br /> feelings be conveyed to the Chief and inform him that they also feel <br /> that their job is protecting people not subjecting them. <br /> 1 . ) On the Capital Program Committee, the appointment will be made at the <br /> Regular Meeting. <br /> 2. ) Board discussed the plumbing bills from Air. Mills . Sel . Garland stated <br /> that the lavatory had been donated by Ray Martini and he cannot believe <br /> the costs that he sees . He has questions on these bills . Chm. Thomas <br /> feels that the questions on the bills should be asked by Town Counsel. <br /> Sel. Garland wants to check on these bills before they are forwarded to <br /> Town Counsel , <br /> 3, ) The memo from Executive Secretary concerning the article on the septage. <br /> lagoons, for Special Town Meeting was discussed. Board approved leaving <br /> the article in. <br /> 4 . ) The Executive Secretary ' s memo concerning the clerical review, the Board <br /> stated that he had done a good job.. Executive Secretary requested per- <br /> mission to send to four or five consulting firms the review. Board con- <br /> curred,. The Board also suggested a copy be sent to Mr. Martin Joyce. <br /> 13, ) Sel, Garland discussed Mr. Ronald Bevacqua' s grievance . He feels the <br /> language should have been cleaned up. Chm. Thomas feels this grievance <br /> should have been settled "in house. " Board suggests that Police Chief <br /> be notified of the Board' s feelings . The Board voted to denv i-hP = <br /> grievance . - - - ' <br /> 5 . ) On the memo from Executive Secretary on the Park and Recreation Advisory <br /> Committee, the appointments will be made in the Regular Meeting. <br /> 6 , ) On Chm. Thomas ' s request for an assessor' s map book, Executive Secretary <br /> stated that the assessors office is getting one for us . Discussion fol- <br /> lowed. Sel. Garland asked if we could call a company direct and get one, <br /> as most realtors have them. Executive Secretary to pursue this matter. <br /> 7 . ) The draft of the Clerical Contract was reviewers by the Board and found <br /> to be satisfactory. <br /> 14 , ) The Board talked about the type of vehicle that should be purchased if <br /> funds are available for the Dog Officer/Natural Resources Officer. Board <br /> discussed four wheel drive versus two wheel drive, used vehicle versus <br /> new. Chm. Thomas recommends a new vehicle as there is no way of knowing <br /> what you get on a used vehicle. <br /> 8. ) Discussion followed on Special Town Meeting articles . All the articles <br /> on wages were approved. The stabilization fund article was also approved. <br /> The article on the former town hall (U. S .O. ) the petition did not have enough <br /> names therefore it will not be nut on the warrant. Sponsor of the petition <br /> should be notified of Board' s decision and advised that this procedure can <br /> be introduced again for the Annual Town Meeting. Chm. Thomas asked if <br /> we had heard from Chief Grey Wolfe on this building. Executive Secretary <br /> i.s to find out what is happening in that direction. Chm.
