ADMINISTRATIVE MEETING <br /> September 29 , 1982 at 1 : 00 P.M. <br /> PRESENT: Chairwoman B. Jean Thomas , Selectmen Chester A. Garland, Executive <br /> Secretary Joseph F. Murphy , Selectmen Kevin D. O'Connell was absent <br /> as he is on vacation. Town Counsel Joseph J. Reardon was absent. <br /> 1: 00 p,m. - Mr. Charles Buckingham, Clerk of the Board of Health, discussed <br /> letters from the State and the Town of Falmouth concerning Falmouth' s <br /> regional approach to septic facility plan. Mr. Buckingham said the <br /> letter from the engineering firm was a definate "no" for the time <br /> being, but the telephone conversation with Falmouth, indicated a <br /> possibility of being included. He requests the Selectmen send a <br /> letter to the State and the Town of Falmouth outlining our reasons <br /> again for inclusion .into this wastewater treatment plant . He stated <br /> that the Board of Health has kept accounts , such as the 208 study <br /> and other studies for needs of Mashpee in regards to sewage. Chm. <br /> Thomas stated she would send the necessary letters. <br /> 1: 15 p.m. - Mr. Martin Mclsaac was interviewed for the Dog Officer/ Natural <br /> Resources Officer position. Chm. Thomas asked Mr. Mclsaac if the <br /> Personnel Board had given any reason for not interviewing him. She <br /> explained that Mr. Mclsaac had applied for this job and had never <br /> been interviewed, Chm, Thomas asked if he was presently employed. <br /> Mclsaac replied, "Yes , but he would leave in a minute . He finds <br /> his present employment boring and because of the drive he has to get <br /> to work . Be is now working in Brockton. Chm. Thomas inquired if <br /> he knew anything about the Natural Resources Officer position. Mr. <br /> Mclsaac replied he knew very little, but he would follow the policy <br /> Of this office , Chm. Thomas also asked him about the administrative <br /> portion of this position. He stated that he would have no problem <br /> with that. Sel. Garland asked where Mr. rgclsaac lives . He replied <br /> in Falmouth. Sel . Garland said he was curious why Mr. Mclsaac did <br /> not pursue a job in the Police Department. Mr. Mclsaac gave an ex- <br /> planation which basically was that he felt he is to old. Sel. Garland ! <br /> told Mr. Mclsaac about the large wooded areas in Mashpee and the <br /> problems with skunks and raccoons . He replied this would be no pro- <br /> blem. Sel . Garland also asked about his health. He stated he had <br /> no problem. Sel. Garland explained the situation with the Bronco, <br /> which is the vehicle for that position. He said it is being repaired. ' <br /> Discussion followed on types of vehicles that should be used for this <br /> job. Sel. Garland said it all depends on the dollars and cents. <br /> Executive Secretary, Joseph F. Murphy, said there is going to be an <br /> article in the Special Town Meeting and if the funds are not turned <br /> down the Town will buy a vehicle. Executive secretary also discussed <br /> salary and work physical with Mr. Mclsaac. Chm. Thomas asked if Mr. <br /> Mclsaac had any questions of the Board. He replied he had none. <br /> Board thanked Mr. Mclsaac for coming and said that he would be hear- <br /> ing from them. <br /> 11 , ) Executive Secretary discussed Superintendent of Streets , Mr. Ernest <br /> Virgilio' s , salary for his first week with the Town. The Board approved <br /> his salary be taken out of the wage account. <br /> 12. ) Board discussed phone call from Chief Priestly concerning <br /> releasing of names to the Falmouth Enterprise on ambulance runs . <br />
