BOARD OF LIBRARY TRUSTEES MEETING TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 2024 6:00PM MASHPEE PUBLIC LIBRARY – CONFERENCE ROOM 64 STEEPLE ST. MASHPEE, MA 02649 APPROVED: 12/17/2024 Present: Ann Macdonald, Ruth Nickerson, Sandi Lahart, Kate Milde, Mary LeClair Absent: Bethany Geatrakas, Mary Hillerich Also Present: Kathy Mahoney- Library Director CALL TO ORDER Chair Ann Macdonald called the meeting of the Library Trustees to order at 6:00P.M. APPROVAL OF MINUTES – October 08, 2024 Kathy Mahoney corrected from Finance Committee to budget review meetings. Ann Macdonald corrected totals raised from the author event under the Liaison Report. MOTION: Mary LeClair made a motion to approve the Library Trustees meeting minutes for October 08, 2024 as amended. Seconded by Ruth Nickerson. All in favor. Roll Call Vote: Ann Macdonald – Yes Sandi Lahart – Yes Ruth Nickerson – Yes Mary LeClair – Yes Kate Milde – Yes PUBLIC COMMENT None LIBRARY DIRECTOR’S REPORT The annual state certification was renewed for another year. As of now there is no date set for the budget meeting. The IT work has taken a pause as they are looking for additional staffing. Website changes are still on the Library Director’s list. The back walkway was redone due to unsettling and hazardous terrain. The benches were moved, and concrete was laid. The bricks with names are bordering the front flowers. There will be a white picket fence to keep people on an established path. The CLAMS book delivery vendors are having logistical delays and shipping delays. New books have been delayed months from the drop date. We are told systems will be back on track coming into the new year. At the most recent Department Head meeting, committee meetings, agendas, and minutes were brought up. Department Heads will now be posting agendas. Some topics discussed 1
