8 <br /> <br />Board of Selectmen <br />Minutes <br />February 25, 2013 <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS & CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> <br />Affordable Housing Trust Meeting: <br /> <br />It was agreed the Affordable Housing Trust (AHT) would meet at 6:00 p.m. on <br />Monday, March 11, 2013. The AHT is comprised of the five member Board of <br />Selectmen and representation from the Mashpee Housing Authority, Finance <br />Committee, Affordable Housing Committee and EDIC, members with expertise <br />in housing, real estate development and finance. <br /> <br />It was agreed an agenda topic would be the Feasibility Study proposed on town- <br />owned land located at 209 Old Barnstable Road. A grant has been applied for <br />through the MA Housing Partnership to conduct the study. As a contingency, the <br />project was recommended by the Community Preservation Committee for <br />approval at the May 2013 Special Town Meeting. <br /> <br />It was noted that an approval letter may be forthcoming for the grant funding <br />award. <br /> <br />Mashpee Town Charter Review Committee – Letters of Interest: <br /> <br />Additional letters of interest were submitted to serve on the Charter Review <br />Committee. Letters of interest were received from Selectman Tom O’Hara dated <br />February 15, 2013 and via email from R. P. Noonan dated February 5, 2013, John <br />Kowalski dated February 18, 2013 and Richard Jodka dated February 21, 2013. <br /> <br />The question was asked if the Charter Review Committee was publicly advertised <br />to gain interest, and if the public received adequate notice to submit their letters of <br />interest. The Charter Review Committee is anticipated to be established after the <br />May 2013 Town Election. <br /> <br />Eagle Scout Fundraiser: <br /> <br />Selectman Sherman and Selectman Taylor attended the recent Eagle Scout <br />Fundraiser held at the Children’s Museum. <br /> <br />Tribal Council Election: <br /> <br />The Board of Selectmen publicly congratulated Cedric Cromwell on his re- <br />election as Chairman of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Council. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
