ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE MINUTES <br /> SEPTEMBER 10,. 1996 <br /> Paul Reynolds called the EDC meeting to order at 7 : 00 at <br /> the Senior Center. <br /> Members present: Gloria Dube, Steve Kyros , Paul Reynolds , <br /> Ted Lewis . <br /> Alternates present: Steve Innis, Sharon Koblinsky . <br /> Others present: Wayne Duchernin, EDC Coordinator <br /> The Minutes of August 27 , 1996 were approved as presented. <br /> There was no correspondence to report. <br /> ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR'S REPORT <br /> Wayne reported that he spoke to Jack Lynch at Augat, and they <br /> are not ready to submit a project. The Board of Selectmen have <br /> removed the Article pertaining to Augat ' s certified project <br /> from the warrant. The Article for Augat ' s EOA designation has <br /> remained on the warrant, and the Area is referred to as "East <br /> Mashpee" . Paul stated that the Chamber of Commerce has voted <br /> to include information on the EOA designation with their mailing, <br /> not as an endorsement but for information purposes . <br /> Wayne reported that the Industrial Park and Half Tide Marina <br /> parties are still negotiating a lease. Wayne will be meeting <br /> with them tomorrow to get an update. <br /> Wayne stated the Cape Cod Commission moved their meeting to <br /> September 19, 1996 at 3 : 00 p.m. at the Assembly of Delegates.. <br /> There is another sub--committee meeting scheduled, and Wayne <br /> plans to attend. <br /> Wayne stated he would like to hold a meeting on the PWED grant <br /> and invite Augat, Willowbend, Mashpee Commons, and the Industrial <br /> Park owners to attend. Wayne would like to solicit their <br /> financial support telling them they are going to get $1 , 000 , 000 <br /> of infrastructure improvements in return for .their combined <br /> contribution of approximately $20 ,000 . Wayne stated that we <br /> need engineering cost estimates . <br /> SUB COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Sharon Koblinsky took a poll of -who will be attending the EDC <br /> cookout on Friday, September 13th, at 6 : 00 p.m. and what each <br /> person will briny to the potluck. <br /> Sharon stated that the Marketing Sub Committee completed and <br /> submitted an ad to the New England Real Estate Journal. It <br /> is a one-page ad promoting the Town of Mashpee, not any one <br />
