r <br /> Wednesday, March 05, 2003 <br /> Attendees: <br /> Members----Z Elizenbeny, Jamie Regan, Arthur Weinstein, John Cahalane, LaVerne <br /> Williams, Louise Patrick, and Lelia Botsford <br /> Also attending: Eric Snaith - Planning Board, Joe Marino --Interested Mashpee Citizen, <br /> and Ron Bonvie - Developer <br /> Minutes of the Affordable Housing Committee meeting held on March 3, 2003. <br /> The meeting was called to order by Vice Chairman Lelia Botsford a 7:30 p.m. <br /> A discussion of the proposed Accessory Apartment By-Law revealed all individuals <br /> present were in agreement that Mashpee's need for affordable housing could benefit from <br /> adding Accessory Apartment to its housing stock. <br /> However, some specific changes were suggested for the proposed by-law: <br /> 1. Remove section `A' that referred to persons being related by blood or marriage to the <br /> occupants of the other unit (i.e. the home owner) <br /> 2. All other sections now are labeled `A' thru G'. <br /> 3. Section `B' references to square footage should be revised. <br /> 4. Section `C' adds' to the word occupant in the first sentence. <br /> 5. Section `F' revises the last sentence to read "Renewal of a certificate of occupancy <br /> shall be granted only upon documentation to the Building Inspector that requirements in <br /> Sections `A' thru `f" have been met. <br /> John Cahalane reported that the Re-Organization article for the Affordable Housing <br /> Committee has been approved for the May Warrant & Town Meeting. <br /> Lelia Botsford reported that the Mashpee Housing Authority has the support of the <br /> Selectmen and pending a presentation to the COA the 58 units planned under 40B will be <br /> built of 6.75 acres. <br /> Eric Smith, Town Planning Office reported that he has submitted a Comprehensive Plan <br /> Implementation Grant application for ($15,000.00) to the Cape Cod Commission. These <br /> monies would be used to procure a consultant to prepare the Housing Action <br /> Development Plan for the town. It was also mention by individuals attending the meeting <br /> that the town's Comprehensive Plan must be updated also. <br /> The Sconsett Village DRI (Development of Regional Impact) affordable housing monies <br /> are still active.
