Mashpee Affordable Housing Committee <br /> Meeting Minutes <br /> October 5, 2010 at 7 pin <br /> Selectmen's Meeting Room, Mashpee Town Hall <br /> 'resent: Chairman Alan Trebat, feud Abbott, Berkeley Johnson <br /> Also Present; Selectman Liaison Michael Richardson <br /> Absent: Ami Snider, Kalliope Egloff <br /> Call to Order <br /> Chairman Alan Trebat called the roll and the meeting commenced at :10 p.m <br /> Approval of Minutes-September 7, 2010 <br /> A motion was made by Mr. Abbott to accept the minutes from the September 7th meeting. <br /> Mr. Johnson seconded the motion. All voted unanimously. <br /> Mashpee Commons Update <br /> Mr. Abbott reported that Doug Storrs would be willing to attend a future meeting but that the <br /> project is on hold due to the current economic situation. Mr. Storrs has provided a document <br /> confirming Mashpee Commons' 100°/o commitment to the affordable housing component of the <br /> project: Planning Board permits have been extended for the deferred project. <br /> The Chair questioned whether Mr. Abbott had plans to invite other speakers to future meetings <br /> and Mr. Abbott indicated that he is scheduling a speaker from Habitat for Humanity for the <br /> November meeting. <br /> Schooner Lane Affordable Housing Emit Status <br /> Chairman Tr bat reported that the Committee's interest In maintaining the Schooner Lane <br /> affordable housing unit has been communicated to the Town with an inquiry about the Town's <br /> interest in purchasing the property. Selectman Richardson suggested that the Committee draft a <br /> letter to the Affordable Housing Trust Board requesting their consideration of the Schooner Lane <br /> property. when speaking with Cape Cod 5, interest was expressed in maintaining the property <br /> s an affordable unit in Mashpee. <br /> motion was made by Mr. Abbott that Chairman `f'rebat draft a letter to the Affordable <br /> Housing Trust Board recommending that they tape under consideration the Schooner Lane <br /> property. Mr. Johnson seconded the motion. All voted unanimously. <br /> Review of the Mashpee hpe ffordable Housing Mission Statement and Brochure <br /> The draft vAll be considered at the next meeting. Chairman Treb t will follow up with IVIS. <br /> Snider regarding use of graphics for the brochure. Mr. Johnson voiced his support for the <br /> revised brochure. Mr. Abbott queM'oned the appropriate contact information and the Chair <br /> reported that the Affordable Housing Committee Will have a dedicated email address. The Chair <br /> will follow up with the IT department to acquire the passwords. Additionally, more information <br /> is needed to identify the appropriate Town Hall point of contact for anyone interested in <br /> affordable housing in Mashpee. <br />
