.s <br /> I <br /> Mashpee Af'f'ordable Housing Committee <br /> Meeti n g Mi n u tes <br /> November 4, 2010 at 7 pm <br /> Meeting Room 3, Mashpee Town Hall <br /> Present: Kalliope Egloff, feud Abbott, Berkeley Johnson <br /> Also Present: Selectman Liaison Michael Richardson <br /> Absent: Chairman Alam Trebat <br /> Call to order <br /> Vice Chair Egloff called the meeting to order at :00 p,m. <br /> Approvai of Minutes-October 4, 2010 <br /> A motion was made by Mr. Abbott to approve the minutes of October 5th. Mr. Johnson <br /> seconded the motion. Mr. Abbott and Mr. Johnson voted unanimously. Ms. Egloff did not <br /> vote as she was not present at the meeting. <br /> Resignation of Committee Member and Clerk Amy Dufault Snider <br /> motion was made b ►Mr. Johnson to accept the resignation with regret. Mr. Abbott <br /> seconded the motion. All voted unanimously. <br /> The Committee will wait to elect a new clerk until the Chair returns. Committee members <br /> discussed advertising the open position and the Secretary agreed to contact the Town Manager's <br /> office to inquire about advertising opportunities. Comminde members expressed interest in <br /> having the opening advertised on the Town's website, in Town Hall and with an ad placed in The <br /> Enterprise. Mr. Johnson suggested the possibility of an interested woman working with Habitat <br /> for Humanity and Mr. Abbott stated that he had also been in contact with women who have <br /> expressed an interest in the Committee. Ms. Egloff suggested sending an email to the Chamber <br /> of Commerce,, the Mashpee Realty Board and other related businesses announcing the available <br /> vacancy. 11r. Abbott will announce the vacancy with the Men's Club and both he and Mr. <br /> Johnson will announce the vacancy at their churches. Ms. Egloff will email the Chamber and <br /> Mr. Johnson will contact the Mashpee Realty board. Ms. Egloff recommended that Darin <br /> Weeks from Cape Cod 5 continue to be included in emm"Is in ease he can recommend someone <br /> to fill the vacancy. Selectman Richardson noted that there may be some interested individuals <br /> from the New Seabury Social Club. <br /> Habitat for Humanity, Inc. Update <br /> Warren Brody, Chair of Land Acquisitions and Pre-Permitting for Habitat for Humanity, <br /> introduced himself to the Committee. Mr. Brody described Habitat for Humanity as a 5010 <br /> non-profit corporation serving the 15 towns on Cape Cod. IVB-. Brody reported that affordable <br /> homes have been constructed in every community and that Habitat for Humanity has enjoyed an <br /> excellent relationship with the Town n of Mashpee over the last 20 years. Since 2006,, Habitat for <br /> Humanity has develop her's Path, 59 Quashnet Road (Habitat's `h Cape Cod home), <br /> 62 Cotuit Road and three current projects in Mashpee. IVB-.
