BAILEY, DIRECTOR OF ASSESSING <br /> The regular meeting was called to order by Chairman DeLory <br /> at : 10 p.m. <br /> MINUTES OF THE MEETINGS: <br /> Minutes of The Meetin of July 2 , 1995 <br /> Vice Chairman Greig referred to Page 1. , Last Paragraph; he <br /> questioned when Mr . Boli Trembley would be coring into the <br /> Assessing Department, David Bailey Informed that he was here <br /> just today and will be coming in again on Wednesday. <br /> Kenneth Porter made motion The Board accept The Minutes of <br /> The Meeting of July 24 aswritten; Robert D Lory made second the <br /> motion; motion passed; unanimous decision* The Minutes were <br /> accepted by The Board. <br /> NEW/OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Industrial Revaluation <br /> David Bailer informed that the Industrial sector will see <br /> some 'dramatic ha.nges,' However, there is so little of it, there <br /> will be not much effect on the Town. The sales we have had are <br /> much lower than the assessments by 80 to 40% , We will <br /> have to adjust these. <br /> Upon question from Kenneth Porter, Mr. Bailey informed that <br /> there were two sales on Echo Road. As he recalls , one was <br /> assessed at $190,000 and sold for $1.50 , 000 or so; another was <br /> assessed at $160 ,000 and sold for $120 , 000 . There was a sale f <br /> a vacant two acre parcel on Route 28, next to the g-as station,, <br /> for $140 , 000 . Discussion followed. Mr. Bailey informed that the <br /> building right in the area also sold at about 30% less than the <br /> assessment. <br />
