GREIG, CHAIRMAN <br /> KENNETH A. PORTER, VICE CHAIRMAN <br /> MARCIi R. SIN , CLERK <br /> DAVIT] A. BAILEY, DIRECTOR OF ASSESSING <br /> The regular meeting was held in the Assessing Department ' s <br /> offices located in Town Hall , Mash ee f Massachusetts. The <br /> meeting was called to order by Chairman Greig at : 10 P.m <br /> MINUTES OF THE MEETINGS <br /> Minutes of The Meetin2 -of November 10 , 1997 <br /> Board Members and David Bailey reviewed 'the minutes. " <br /> There was no discussion, nor were there anyorreCtions . <br /> Vice Chairman Porter made motion The Board accept The <br /> Minutes of The Meeting of November 10 , 19 as printed; <br /> Marcia King made second the motion; motion ' passed; unanimous <br /> decision. The Minutes were accepted by The Board. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Abatement Aj2 licati.ons <br /> Chairman Greig presented Abatement Application #50 , <br /> Read. Property,, Applicant Ar ilia Alexander, Map 114 , Block 13 . <br /> Mr. Greig informed that the Board ' s recommendation is to reduce <br /> the assessment t $8, 100 and list the property a U90 , <br /> unbuildable, abating $20,300 . <br /> Vice Chairman Porter made motion the Board accept the <br /> abatement as recommended and as read by Chairman Greigi- Marcia <br /> King made second the motion; motion passed; unanimous decision. <br /> The abatement of $20 , 300 was accepted by the Board. <br /> Chairman Greig introduced lengthy discussion on how <br /> Board Members may want to handle the abatement applications . He <br /> pointed out that in the haat, research on the properties was dome <br /> during a working session rather than during a regular Board <br /> meeting when time is limited. Each Hoard Member did his/her own <br /> research at different -Eines, then signed a sheet. <br />
