i T # <br /> TOWN OF MAS <br /> BOARD OF ASSESSORS <br /> Minutes of the Meeting of Friday, February 13, 2004 <br /> Board Attendees: <br /> Les Grieg, Chairman <br /> Marcia King, Vice Chairman <br /> Heather Noyes, Clerk <br /> David Bailer, Director of Assessing <br /> Chairman Les Grieg called the meeting to order at 1:00 PIM. <br /> REVIEW F MINUTES <br /> The Burd approved unanimously the minutes from the meeting held on October 29, 2003. <br /> PERSONAL PROPERTY ABATEMENT APPROVALS—(see Attachment A) <br /> Marcia King made a motion, seconded by Heather Moyes, that the Burd accept the 12 applications for personal property <br /> tax abatements listed on State Tax Fora 155 dated 2/13/04, beginning with Francis,J Murphy, Parcel 7-22-38-S, and <br /> ending with Jeffrey Mills, PP 17403-0-0-P. The motion was unanimously approved. <br /> REAL ESTATE PROPERTY ABATEMENT APPROVALS—(see Attachment B <br /> Les Gdeg made a motion, seconded by Marcia King, that the Burd accept the 56 applications for real estate property tax <br /> abatements listed on State Tax Form 155 dated 2113104, beginning with the name TCB IMashpee Viliage Ltd Pntshp, <br /> Parcel -1-0-R, and ending with the name Oliver, Carl F & Daniel E Trs, Parcel 11 9- -F . The motion was <br /> unanimously approved. <br /> PERSONAL PROPERTY ABATEMENT DENIALS--(see Attachment C) <br /> Heather Noyes made a motion, seconded by Marcia King, that the Burd deny the 5 applications for personal property tax <br /> abatements listed on State Tax Form 155 dated 2113104, beginning with the name Began, George K Jr., Parcel 2 -10- -S, <br /> and ending with the name AT&T Wireless PCS, Parcel PP17340-0-0-P. The motion was unanimously approved. <br /> REAL ESTATE PROPERTY ABATEMENT DENIALS—(see Attachment D <br /> [Marcia Ding made a motion, seconded by Heather Noyes, that the Board deny the 16 applications for real estate property <br /> tax abatements listed on State Tax Form 155 dated /13104, beginning with the name Began, George K. Sr., Parcel 22- <br /> 1 -0-R, and ending with the name Gain born, Craig Alam Co. Trs., Parcel 12G-1 39-0-R. The motion was u na ni mous ly <br /> approved. <br /> Dave Bailey reported on the following two fire-damaged properties that had applied for personal property tax abatement <br /> from the time of the rportedtloss until the end of the year: <br /> 1. 185 Willowbend Drive, reap 63-70—a reduction of$490,400 from $893,300 <br /> 2. 252 Wheeler Road, map 41-14—a reduction of$103,000 from $199,000 <br /> Marcia King made a ,notion, seconded by Les trig, that the Board approve the two applications for personal property <br /> abatement on the above two fire-damaged properties. The motion was unanimously approved. <br /> REPORT FROM DAVE BAILEY. <br /> Dave Bailey announced that he had accepted the position of Director of Assessing for the Town of Falmouth, effective the <br /> 27th of February 2004. The Board expressed extreme gratitude to Dave for his many accomplishments and contributions <br /> to the Town of Mashpee Assessors office during his tenure as Director. <br /> He apprised the Board of several ongoing items that would need follow-u . <br /> 1. A few ATB cases are outstanding, i.e., Windchime, Sea IMist Condominiums, as well as the,Hang applications from <br /> Attorney Mark 11itkin <br /> . Popponesset Marketplace <br /> 3.
