F <br /> REVIEW of MINUTES <br /> The Board unanimously approved the minutes from the BOA meeting held on Wednesday, Nov. <br /> 1 b# 00 . <br /> BOARD of ASSESSORS REPORT <br /> Paul Andrews reported on email correspondence he exchanged today with the Town manager's <br /> office regarding the presentation of Gregg Fraer's name for appointment to the Board of <br /> Assessors at the Board of Selectmen's meeting tonight. In his email to the Town Manager, Pawl <br /> expressed his disappointment that the Board of Assessors had not been given advance <br /> notification that a letter of interest had been received by Town Fall from Gregg Fraser. The fetter <br /> of interest was dated 11/06106. According to Rene Reed, a copy of the fetter had been forwarded <br /> to the Assessors office. Paul's concern was with the issue of lack of communication which had <br /> surfac d in the recent past between previous-Directors of Assessing and the Town Manager's <br /> office. Town Manager Joyce Mason responded to Paul Andrews that she would ensure that there <br /> would_be lime allowed for input from the Board of Assessors before Gregg Frasers name would <br /> be presented for appointment to the BOA by the Board of Selectmen. <br /> j Jason Streebel stated that he had seen a copy of the letter of interest from Gregg Fraser. The <br /> letter indicated that currently Gregg Fraser is Chairman of the Board of Assessors in Falmouth. <br /> Mr. Fraser is a resident of Mashpee. After discussion, the Board agreed that Mr. Fraser seemed <br /> well qualified to serge on the Mashpee BOA, and would recommend approval of the appointment <br /> j to the Board of Selectmen. <br /> r <br /> DIRECTOR of ASSESSING REPORT <br /> i <br /> I <br /> 1. Tax Rate Recap sheets for the Water Dept.and the Town of Mashpee. <br /> Jason Streebell stated that the purpose of tonight's meeting was to sign the tax nate recap sheets <br /> for the Water Department and the Town of Mashpee. The DOR has not fret given first approval <br /> on our growth figures and will not decide on the tax split until some bine between now and Dec. <br /> 1 Ith. The Board of Selectmen will delay their vote on the tax sprit until after the DOR decision is <br /> made. The Mashpee tax bills are scheduled to be mailed out on Dec. 29th. The Board members <br /> signed off on the tax rate recap sheets for both the Water Dept. and the Town of Mashpee. <br /> . Real Estate Supplemental Tax Abatement Applications <br /> Bruce Anderson stated that the property owners at 41 S aview Lane, 43 Seavie v Lane,49 <br /> Seaview Lane, 64 Seaview Lane and 37 Seaview Lame had received supplemental tax bills, and <br /> that their sale pace did not reflect what the supplemental bills stated. It had been anticipated that <br /> the sales pace would go cep, but that did not happen. Bruce Anderson recommended that the <br /> Assessors office abate the tax bills to reflect the sale price.
