-i w J TOWN OF MASHPEE BOARD OF ASSESSORS Minutes of the Meeting of Thursday, May 17, 2007 Board Members Present; Also Present: Paul Andrews, Chairman Jason Streebel, Director of Assessing Sheldon Holzer, vice Chairman Gregg Fraser, Clerk Chairman Paul Andrews called the meeting to order at 8:38 PM. PUBLIC COMMENT No Public Comments. REVIEW OF MINUTES The Board unanimously approved as revised the minutes from the BOA meeting held on 04/19/07. BOARD of ASSESSORS REPORTS 1. Paul Andrews,Chairman. Paul Andrews distributed to the Board copies of a proposed motion regarding the adoption of a Code of Ethics which was generated by the Mashpee Finance Committee. After review of the Code of Ethics, it was moved and seconded that the Board of i Assessors adopt the proposed Code of Ethics. The motion was unanimously approved. . Sheldon Holzer,vice Chairmen. Sheldon Holzer reported that at the Town Meeting held on May 7th,the BOA was successful in reinstating the Board of Assessors stipend. The vote was b to 1 in favor of approval of the warrant.article. Paul Andrews thanked Gregg Fraser and . Sheldon Holzer for represen ng the BOA at the Town Meeting. 3. Gregg Fraser. No report. DIRECTOR of ASSESSING REPORT—Jason Streebel 1. P.I.L. .T. Agreement(Payment In Lieu of Taxes) There is a proposed P.I.L. .T. agreement between the Town of Mashpee and the Ashers Path Senior Affordable Housing project, which is currently under construction. The Town will get $2800 the first year, with a % inflation factor applied every year thereafter. . Sheldon Holzer moved that the BOA approve the P.I.L.O.T agreement, and that Paul Andrews sign off on the document The motion was unanimously approved by the Board. . Jason Streebel offered his congratulations to the Board on the warrant article. The stipend will go into effect July 1, 2007. A line item will be added into the Assessors annual budget for the stipend. A package from the Human resources Dept was given to eat BOA member. Each Board member is asked to meet personally with Marflyn'Farren, Director of Personnel, to review the information provided in the package and complete the necessary forrn . . Listens Position Candidates • . Jason Streebel reported that yesterday five candidates for the vaunt Lister's partrne position were Interviewed. Three of the five individuals were very good possibilities. Jason is hopeful that the position will be filled by dune . .
